Keeping pets secure in cars - Did you know it's law in the UK for pets to be secure, failure to do this could result in fines, penalty points, vehicle insurance being invalid or even losing your licence. What does the Highway code say: Rule 57 When in a vehicle make sure dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves, if you stop quickly. A seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog cage or dog guard are ways of restraining animals in cars Are you surprised, or wasn't sure, maybe it's time to have a look at an up-to-date book, Any responsible business would be recommended to check a copy in their company car for reference.
