First aid at work 3-day course
What is HSE regulated first aid at work? The Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 requires employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they become ill or injured at work. These regulations apply to all workplaces including those with 5 or less employees and to the self-employed. Employers need to provide first aid care on their premises for staff and have a duty of care towards all visitors and users of their facilities. We offer a three-day first aid at work course that will help you meet your workplace first aid training course requirements.
In addition, attendees will learn how to administer first aid to a casualty with:
Injuries to bones, muscles and joints – this includes spinal injuries
Chest injuries
Burns and scalds
Eye injuries
Sudden poisoning
Anaphylactic shock
Recognise the presence of major illnesses and provide appropriate first aid including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma and diabetes.
Our 18 hour, three-day first aid at work (FAW) course follows the HSE recommended content and is fully compliant with workplace regulations. Once training has been completed a 3-year Certificate of Competence (Health & Safety Approved) will be awarded on successful completion of the course and assessment.
